SETTING UP A CONTAINER HANDLER

INSIDE PEEK AT ASSEMBLING A CONTAINER HANDLER

Delivering material handling equipment is typically a pretty straight forward event: a forklift is driven onto a flatbed truck, properly strapped down, and unloaded upon delivery.

However, a container handler requires a bit more work. To accommodate the mast and the top lift spreader, the lift cannot be delivered ready to use. Instead, it arrives in a few pieces that must be assembled on-site prior to use.

Recently, two of our technicians accompanied a Kalmar loaded container handler. With some manpower and a crane, it was soon properly set up and ready to work.
