CYCLE FOR A CAUSE

2016 RIDE FOR A CHILD

Cycle Oregon kicks off on September 10, and four Norlift team members are training, fundraising, and riding for Candlelighters, an organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer in Oregon and SW Washington.  The Candlelighters Ride For A Child group is made up of 40 riders that will cover ~457 miles of roadway, and all funds raised will help provide resources to children so that they are not alone in their daily battles against cancer.

Candlelighters is funded entirely by private donations that support local programs and services. Donations help fund Candlelighters’ monthly family activities and dinners at both Doernbecher and Emanuel Children’s Hospitals as well as a monthly newsletter, support groups, educational resources, college scholarships, and emergency financial help for families with children undergoing treatment, Candlelighters’ most vital program.  Candlelighters has two full time administrators, and volunteers accomplish almost 100% of the work.  For more information on Candlelighters, visit www.4kidswithcancer.org .
