KEEPING STANDARDS HIGH, AND DRIVERS SAFE

OTTAWA YARD TRACTORS

Kalmar Ottawa has raised the bar, pushing the standards forward since 1958. In June of 2015, Ottawa built their 60,000th tractor in Ottawa, KS. This is greater than double the number of units produced by all the competitors combined in North America.

Built to be safer, more efficient, more user-friendly, and better suited to the heavy demands of trailer handling; the T2 model exceeds expectations. As the leader in terminal tractors, Ottawa works furiously to remain the best, and through the T2, there is no sign of them losing this position. Our Ottawa Yard Tractor Specialist, Danny Hennessy, visited Ottawa, KS for training on these new beastly machines.

Ottawa has biannual sales training opportunities for both new and experienced sales persons from all around the world. Danny interfaced with key people within Ottawa's organization, learned all about the Ottawa T2, and received a peek at what is in store for the future. With multiple vendors, guest speakers, and a tour of the facility, this event was packed full of learning and growth opportunities for all the sales representatives.

One of the unique historical aspects of Ottawa is that this single location has assembled all the Ottawa Yard Tractors since it was first established. It is not uncommon for the current employees to be second, or even third generation workers. By hiring local, Ottawa has been able to support the city's employment and remain a vital part of the community. They give back through charity work with the Special Olympics as well as with the Franklin County Cancer Foundation. It is easy to see why Ottawa is supported by their customers and employees.

Since 2007, Norlift of Oregon, Inc. has been a proud dealer of Ottawa Yard Tractors, offering new and used sales, rentals, parts, service, and operator training.
